Denise Bourassa, DNP, RNC-ob, CNL, CNE is an Assistant Professor and Director of the MS Nurse Leader and Nurse Educator Tracks at the UConn School of Nursing. Dr. Bourassa is an experienced, nationally certified Clinical Nurse Leader and specializes in healthcare quality improvement, implementing and sustaining evidence-based practice at the bedside, and leading healthcare interdisciplinary teams during quality improvement projects. Dr. Bourassa is a certified nurse educator with ten years’ experience in nursing education at both the graduate and pre-licensure level.

Carol Polifroni is an educator, researcher, editor, author and consultant, as well as, the preceding Dean of UConn’s School of Nursing and a Past President of the Connecticut Nurses Association and Mu Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau. Dr. Polifroni is currently a Professor at UConn and Director of the Office of Clinical Placement Coordination for the university. With scholarship focused on philosophy of science,  learner engagement and workplace environment issues, particularly meaning & joy, Dr. Polifroni earned her baccalaureate degree in nursing from Saint Anselm College, her masters from New York University and her doctorate from Rutgers: The State University of New Jersey in administration and curriculum theory and development.
